Season update – Aug 18, 2020

We hope our Nemesis families are doing well in the "now normal" COVID-19 world.  Nemesis executives and coaches have engaged in many discussions over the past several weeks as to whether or not we will be able to offer a Fall program and if so, what would it look like.

First and foremost, the safety of players, coaches, volunteers and parents our top priority.  Any program offered by the Nemesis organization will comply with all provincial and municipal health rules, regulations and policies.

With this in mind, the Nemesis organization feels it could offer a 9 week program that would see players divided into small groups by grade/age spread across the upper and lower field for well designed and organized training sessions. This plan would allow us to rotate groups over the course of the morning to ensure that proper social distancing in respected. Practice plans would consist of skills and drills with the possibility of a little 5 v 5, no contact passing.

All sessions would be held at Merivale HS and the program would run from September 5 to October 31.

In order to determine if there is sufficient interest to offer a Fall program and to be able to divide the groups accordingly, we would ask that you complete the registration form on our website no later than August 30, 2020.

While this fall program will look different than in previous years, the Nemesis organization is optimistic that it can provide as much fun and development as in previous years.

Another aspect of making this fall program a success, is the need for volunteers.  Each age group will require two volunteers per week to take attendance so that the club can maintain appropriate records should they be requested by public health officials in the event of a COVID-19 positive test from an attendee.  If you are able to assist with this attendance taking, please include this information where noted on your players registration form.
